SKODA OCTAVIA II (1Z3) 1.9 TDI - Motorsteuerung (EMS) - 18049

The following information reached us:

• Škoda Octavia II (Type 1Z) 1.9 TDI (BJB / BKC / BXE / BLS)
• symptoms: "motor start but stop"
• DTC: 18049

A blind diagnosis without concrete symptoms isn't easy.

Unfortunately the DTC 18049 is the only fault code I could find in your last diagnosis. And this DTC says you have to read out the error momery of the A/C Control Module.

There, in the A/C Control Module, is stored one DTC: 00819 – High Pressure Sensor [G65].
That means:

• The High Pressure Sensor has an open cirucit or a short circuit to ground.
• The Signals of the High Pressure Sensor are too low.

Does the A/C work properly? If not, you have to check wiring/connector(s) of the sensor [G65] as well as the sensor itself.
Maybe the refrigerant pressure is unsufficient.
